07953 numbers

Hi everyone. I have just checked my T Mobile bill and had calls outside my allowance. They were 3 different numbers all beginning with 07953. It said 'Diverted' beside each one.

I called T Mobile to query what they were and they said it was an "on-going issue" that they are dealing with where customers are having call forwarding charges added to their bills in error. They have had a number of calls about this and are aware of the problem, and are trying to investigate it.

I said that if they know about the problem and have already had many calls about it, then why have they failed to notify customers whether by text, email or letter to inform them to look for any bogus charges on their bills. I know it is the customer responsibility to check their bill but if this is a known problem, then surely T Mobile should have some responsibility to inform customers and keep them updated.

She agreed to credit the charges but they will come off my next bill so I have to pay the extra this month. Its only just over £1.00 on mine but it could be a lot more for other people.

I will be contacting them again if I hear nothing by next month to ask what it was all about. I just wanted to warn people to check their bills.
