We still have 14 weeks of term until our end of year exams :eek::eek:

I like exam panic, it's what makes me work! I did contemplate getting CBT (as I get really freaked!), but one of my lecturers asked what would happen if it was the stress etc that got me through. Decided to just go with the flow. I'm sure I'll regret it come July!!!

You will probably get 95% in the end.

Medical courses do tend to be longer than non- medical courses after all.

    It will be okay.

  • Oh right, at uni no one tells you what do or guides you so you really do go into exams half blind as far as I can tell.

At Uni you are supposed to WANT to learn and WANT to work.

You are not there to be led like a child by the hand. You do it yourself.

The way around exam nerves is to KNOW YOUR SUBJECT - what is the saying " perfect preparation prevents poor performance" ?

You aren't doing much in the way of revision on here all day long, are you?

I had two exams this week - I passed both of them, with merit, because I worked morning, noon and night on the subject.

I didn't sit and think "oh well, if I fail this I can always do something else".

You astound me, Phil, you really do.

Get your head down and into your books.

I do really find motivation not too easy as I really dislike the course, but I always get there in the end.

That's me too - although it's not exams but essays that stress me out big-style!

I'm doing my dissertation at the moment and the stress is making me ill - but without the stress I wouldn't get anything done at all - I'd just stop caring and wouldn't get anything written. The stress makes me work.

I am allowed some holiday you.

I call revision scream time as it is a matter of learning 11 weeks of stuff that you do not understand any of it.

Revision is meant to be consolidating what you know, not learning.

That would make a very quick session for the OP.

to be honest so are you. Asking questions like "what is the best way to avoid failing exams" - I find it insulting to the website team; wasting web server space and time moderating useless posts that have nothing to do with moneysaving.

Everyone, go have a look at all the work phil is making for the moderators, as virtually every thread he has started has been locked, they MUST be getting rather flucked off with you to be doing it so relentlessly...even Glad mentioned it when she locked one yesterday, as soon as one is locked you carry on, no wonder you stopped posting on Nelly's...you know we wouldn't put up with it.

Anyway, we have been here before phil, I could post a long list of posts from you on this VERY subject...maybe I will then YOU can go back and see hwat advice you didnt listen to last time.
