0% purchases, min repayments amount, which easiest to get, can they take away 0%?

Thinking of using a 0% purchases card as a form of loan until mid septmeber. Will probably put up to £5000 on the card.
Which is the easiest to get having a £10,000+ spread on other cards (4), on a income of £30k. No late payments defaults etc to give a bad record.
How much will my minimum repayments be?
Is there a possibility they could take away my 0% offer?

It matters not a lot if you have an income of £30k if you spend £31k!
Can you give us more information as to why you need the loan in case we can recommend something better.
Can you also clarify whether you want £5k or £15k??0 -
I currently have no income. Come Sept I wil be on £30k. Currently I am poop!!!
Basically my dad will be getting the card for me so that my last summer before work i can have some fun. I intend to use it for general expenses, as well as a holiday.
i need £5k.
I was wondering what the min repayments are likely to be.
What card is easiest to get for my dad, who does have money on CC's
Will that 0% ever be taken away?Young homeowner...with a large mortgage0 -
Ah Daddie will get it for me - bless him.
Why don't you get off your !!!! and get a summer job to earn some money to have your fun or is that totally alien to you?0 -
Rossyl ignore ejones999 he is typically rude and condescending to posters.
Now with regards to your post it's hard to say how much you might get and how much you would have to pay off because it's your father that will be credit scored not you and you haven't given any details of your fathers income, or other credit committments etc.
Having said all of that although ejones999 could have put it better, I do agree with him. I don't understand why you want to put yourself into debt to have some fun. It's still April, can you not find any temp jobs till the summer and perhaps borrow a small additional amount of money to go on holiday? Trust me it's not worth it getting £5k into debt when you don't need to.0 -
Didn't really want to give a personal lowdown of myself. But the fact I have a £30k graduate job lined up should tell you I am not some lazy student! It was far from easy, and hence i am also far from lazy.
I am currently doing a full time demanding post graduate qaulification. This finishes at the end of June. I then have until mid August before I take another professional course and then start work. And when i start work that will be it, 25 days holiday a year - although a decent income.
So before "real life" starts I wanted to take a break. A long one - a month.
For this I need money, and I wont have the time at the end of June to make loads. So i need to borrow some.
My dad is on about £30k.
He probably has about £15k on about 4 credit cards.
All I want to know is how much roughly will MINIMUM repayments be on about £5k
and
Which will be the easiest card to get

Hi and sorry, what did you mean "Is there a possibility they could take away my 0% offer"?
I totally agree with jones, what the hell are you thinking of doing in a month? Some people here probably spend £20 in that time. How much are you after?? And from your old man who earns less after his, so far lifetime's work than you're gonna start on?!!
And if you're such a hotshot you should be able to work out e.g 1%, 2% or 3% of any amount, shouldn't you?0 -

Hmn rude and condescending but you agree with me.
Get your story straight my old son.
As for the OP I've worked for nearly 30 years without a break (only my usual 27 days per year) so I really feel for you wanting to spend a month away now on somebody else's money!!!!0 -
A credit card would not give you cash at 0%, You would be charged a huge amount of interest, you could only buy stuff. Also if your dad already owes money he may have trouble getting one anyway.
I don't blame you at all for wanting a good time, but you may need to rethink your plans.0 -
Wow, they should rename this the "green eyed monster" forum....
rossyl, well done on your studies, and enjoy your month off, before your career starts.0 -

Thanks watcherman. I don't really get people's opinion on this thread!!!! One moment I'm a lazy student, the next i'm some stuck up hotshot. You said i was lazy, i proved i was not and that i wanted to take a holiday but simply hadn't the time to save up.
My DAD IS NOT GOING TO PAY the card at all, I AM PAYING!! I simply cannot get a card at the moment as I have no income. I WILL MANAGE and PAY FOR EVERYTHING. I have money saved that i can meet minimum repayments from. I will then start paying it off when in september i start working.
What is so wrong with borrowing to take a break? Has no-one ever done that, i think it's quite a common reason to spend on a CC. I know credit cards don't give you cash hence the name "credit", I will use it to pay for purchases.
So then can anyone answer with my dad's current situation (please see posts above) WHAT is the EASIEST card to get?Young homeowner...with a large mortgage0
