Water in oil heating system

Grr, my temperamental boiler has stopped working. Apparently the tank, lines and boiler are full of water and what I thought was several inches of oil in the tank is actually several inches of water plus a couple of inches of oil!!!

Oh grrr again. Can anyone advise me how much it might cost to have it cleared of water, then advice on keeping water out please.

Apparently in the olden days tanks were set on a slope with a tap at the lowest point to drain the water out - which seems eminently sensible. Why on earth aren't they like that now!!!

lol im not sure liz but i understand your pain..maybe u need a boiler service, i had mine looked at and had a boiler service carried out and only cost me £69 i cant remember the company too well i think it was blc boiler services or something but good luck!!
