    Afternoon all,
Hugs to those unwell in this damp weather.I dont think its stopped raining here for 36 hours:eek:.I've not posted much in the last few days, just seem to have been busy, and DGD has been here a couple of afternoons, and also stayed over.We went shopping yesterday for a few more bits for her 1st birthday tomorrow-I need to wrap her pressies later.Apparently she cried when DS2 took her back and clung onto his leg, ahww bless.Got a couple of packs of ys meat to stick in the freezer.

My brother has just been to drop off a pressie from them,so had a good catch up,but that meant I've not done much today, esp as DH & DS2 arrived back home an hour after they went,on the first day of a new job. That involved making phone calls and sorting something out. They were getting one tale from the client, then her son contradicted her,so tools were downed until it was all clarified ;).

Stew from the freezer for tea,so I can get a bit more done this afternoon-better get on with it then :D

If you get a tooth out check you may need antibiotics so you do not get a dry socket. This happened to me years ago and the pain was horrendous.

Just heard from hospital and looks as if dds heart is normal so feel a lot happier. Still freaked out about blood clots and poor kidney function but they are doing a dye test on arteries and we see the doctor in charge tomorrow afternoon so hoping for a clearer picture then.

Going to visit tonight after making proper dinner for us all - strange to be only three of us tonight - I am used to six of us or more for meals.

    Hugs to all

  • Right pasties have come out ok, if a little small. Pastry was a success :j

Made far too much filling though so that has gone into tubs to go in freezer for either soup base or as something to have with a yorkshire pudding for a quick no fuss dinner or pasties again sometime.
Next time I'll remember to dice smaller, put less gravy in and make pastry rounds bigger. But for a first attempt I'm chuffed :D

Leftover pasta from Mon for dinner and just off to prep the chicken parcels for tea, then I'm relaxing for a good hour or so.

We had to go and put some money in the bank today so that the insurance payment is covered. DH wants to pay the full year this year so that we are not hammered on "admin" fees. Changed company again because I will not pay any more than I have to :p.

Lovely dry sunny and breezy day, ideal for washing, I have done three loads and it is nearly dry :j

Got some more chocolaty bits for the Christmas box in poundland 2 boxes tofiffee, 2 bags chocolate brazils and 2 toblerones, I will not buy Cadbury any more because it is just a plastic version of the real thing even the kids hate it, neither will I buy any of the QS tins, because of the cut in size  Still I am nearly there on sweets, just need some mixers and a couple more pressies and we are done.:j

elona I am so relieved for you that DD's heart is ok ((((Hugs)))) here's hoping that you get good news when you see the consultant x

tappers you should see the dentist (((Hugs)))

I have the hospital tomorrow and will probably be there for hours, first cardiology, then respiratory and lung tests, x-rays and then, after all that the consultant.:(

We had suet crust meat pie with roast potatoes and savoy cabbage for dinner today, it was lovely and means that all the cleaning up has been done and the afternoon and evening is all mine :D

Well must go check the washing BFN x

Just popped back to say tooth out, after 7 yrs of being filled and packed and refilled. Luckily it's at the back so not visible. ELona dentist gave me a list of instructions and back on Monday to check its ok. Feel like I've gone two rounds with Lennox Lewis but hopefully the pain will go now. Will mention the dry socket thing on Monday thanks.
Gladd your dd heart test came back ok, that must be a relief.

    Sunshine and showers here today.

I feel so housewifely! Did some washing yesterday, no, I didn't put it out or I'd have been collecting it from the mainland, but it was dry this morning so I ironed it!!!!!! Look at that. No ironing mountain.

We also have people coming to tea. Made sandwiches, cheese scones and lemon cake and that will have to do. Hope to heavens that they all had a good lunch.

BTW I have some bananas past their best and I keep seeing references on here to banana cake or loaf. Any recipes please? It's not part of my repertoire, but I won't throw anything away if it can be turned into something else.

I should be magazine-ing but as you can see I'm not. Perhaps this evening when guests have gone.....

R.S.: Congratulations on the pastry. It's wonderful stuff to wrap around things and make a meal out of nothing much. I love it - and it loves my fat cells.
