Iphone 4 upgrade to 5
Hi,
Just wondered if anybody can help with a couple of quarries, I have looked on the apple website but can't see the answers. So here goes:
1. Can I upgrade from a iPhone 4 to 5 and keep the same number but start a new iTunes account with new email, new iCloud and new apple account etc?
2. I have recently brought my brothers iPad 2 off him but am currently using it in his setting and account through my wifi at home, can I delete all his account details and start with the above mentioned new iTunes with new email, new iCloud and new apple account?
Not sure if it's make any difference but I also have the ended probably of no laptop or pc as my old one has broken and I've yet to replace it.
Any information or help would be a great help.

1. Yes you can. If you are staying with the same network ask for a new nano sim (probably get one with the phone anyway) and ask them to transfer your number over. If moving networks then ask your current provider for the PACT code. Give this to the new provider and they will manage transferring your number. When setting up the new iPhone just select the option to set up as a new phone rather than restore a backup. The wizard on the phone prompts you through it.
2. Yes. Just be aware you can't keep any paid for apps under his account. On the iPad go to Settings > General > Reset. Choose Erase All Content and Settings. Once it restarts it will load up the wizard you get when you first get an iPad. Put in your wireless network key and follow through the prompts to use you own iTunes/iCloud account. You can create your own account right on the iPad if you have't already created your own for the iPhone 50 -
1) Yes... No problem. I have multiple Apple accounts linked to my iPod and iPad. You can easily keep your mobile number by upgrading or changing supplier via a PAC. Apple have no control over your mobile number.
2) Best option is to plug the iPad into a PC or laptop and load up iTunes to restore the iPad to factory settings on the latest iOS. If you have no computer you may need to borrow someone else's to get this sorted. If you are not replacing the laptop in the near future I would advise this process as it will give you the latest version of iOS which supports iOS updates over a home WiFi connection. I'd just double check that you can live without google maps as iOS takes this away from you.
Looking at the above post their suggestion for question 2 does seem easier than mine so I'd also now recommend that instead. Ideally I would also check that you are on iOS 5 or higher though so you can update your iPad in future... Although I'm now wondering did the iPad 2 get iOS 6?0 -
Many thanks that's a great help. Does it not matter that I have no pc or laptop for iTunes.0

Not an issue as long as you know your wireless password and the iPad is running IOS 5 or 6. To be sure you can go into Settings > General > About. It has the version about half way down.
When you reset the iPad it will prompt for the wireless key and activate over wifi. At that point it will ask if you would like to create an Apple account for use with iCloud/iTunes. No need for a computer0 -
