How long can the transfer of funds take?

Oops I made a boob initiating the transfer when I did since the funds aren't in the new account today and its a bank holiday weekend 
Got confirmation my A&L ISA has been closed and the balance transferred dated 29/03(thurs)... got confirmation that my new ISA is open and waiting for the first deposit dated 31/03(sat) so that makes today the 5th working day.
I really need to slow down and work things out before I do them.
Lesson learned.
