I have just sent a recorded delivery letter to ceo dunstone, i have been with talktalk 18 months , the first year was fine but sinve i renewed i have had problems with my broad band, i have been asked to "borrow a neighbours modem" and still they cant find this intermittent fault i can be online then it just disconnects.Well on Friday after losing connection again i rang initally it was uk then got transferred to india, this person Ali who said he would try to help didnt i said i would ring someone else he would not allow me to disconnect the calleven though i had my end, i kept trying to ring out only to hear him still on the other end, i asked why he was still on the line and he sais he wasnt allowed to put the phone down, i tried 5 times even taking thew cord out ofd the socket but he was still there, i hyperventalated as i couldnt make any calls, i ended up calling talk talk from my mobile to get the to speak to the guy on my landline after putting both phones together i went into hysterics of crying as Ali wouldnt put the phone down even to another talk talk rep. the man on the mobile suggested again to disconnect from the socket for at least 10 minutes, and this resolved it, i am now in the process of making a formal complaint and hopefully this call was recorded but somehow i think it would be deleted.

What did the Indian operator do to try and help you with your problem? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Presumably what most of the other indian call centre operators do.......nothing. Talk talk have the worst name in the industry for very good reason. Cheapest is certainly not always best.0

If you have a pre-existing line fault, changing ISP wont help. Similarly if there is a problem with your internal wiring.
Hopefully the new ISP will be more willing to sort your problems out. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Sometimes they do need the line open to check faults, he should have explained this if this was the case.
These Indian call centers follow a script to the letter, an normally the scirpt is not very good.
I'm on SKY and so far so good, though if I had VM cable I would jump at that.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
Hi Rossi nut 46,
If you tweet us @TalkTalkCare or join the TalkTalk Members Forum we can investigate into this for you.
In regards to line testing this can cause calls to drop and BB to resync, depending on the type of test. As such this can affect the resutls so running tests when the reciever is down is preferable. This should however have been explained to you.

Mark

I had 4 outstanding technical suppoet txts to my mobile, all i was doing was chasing the problem up, the previous rep had already done all the fault problems and then passed me over to india to get a customer service person to explain why they were still outstanding, he wasnt testing the line nor was he being at the least helpful, when i said to him that i was going to ring again and hope fully get a uk call centre that is when he wouldnt release the call.he said that he wanted to help, but i had already explained to him on numerous occasions that he couldnt, he then refused to disconnect the call i was on the phone for over 15 minutes trying to get him off the line,i pulled the line out of the socket which i thought would disconnect however when i tried to ring out,he was still on the line asking if i was still therenthis happenedon 5 occasions during this time , i felt as if i was being stalked.0
