    Moan alert!!

Nearby neighbours keep parking opposite the end of my drive, making it difficult and sometimes impossible to get off my drive. I am fed up with having to keep finding people and asking them to move their cars.

I should explain we are on a new housing estate that is still being built and opposite the end of drive is temporary builders metal fencing that somehow attracts inconsiderate people to park in front of it.

Yesterday was particularly annoying as a van was completely blocking my way onto my drive, the person driving it was near it so I asked them to move it and a woman popped up from somewhere and said there was space for me to park around the corner!! I told her there was space for me to park on my drive and told them to move the van!

I hate confrontation with neighbours I just can't understand why people aren't more considerate, it always seems to be a case of I'm alright Jack stuff anyone else.

What you need to do is find some bollards and put them across your drive - seems like people think they are official and normally avoid parking on them!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • I need a favour please:) if anyone could help me out I would be so grateful.
I'm going to send dh to Asda as I am incapacitated
Has anyone got the barcode for the JF sheer blonde go blonder shampoo please

Oh, I SO know that feeling! I live near a school so twice a day, access to and from my drive is impossible. I came home from work one day to find someone parked ON my drive :mad::mad:

Another time, I had just come back from a 200 mile train journey to find that someone had blocked my drive. So we left the car smack bang in the middle of the road. We were there for about 20 minutes until she came back. People were shouting at us to move but when we told them that she had blocked our drive, there were more people shouting at her than us. I threatened to call the police if I caught her doing it again, and she hasnt that I know of.

I bought fake parking tickets from Hawkins but I havent used them yet  But I am not scared to use them. Or go out and take pictures for the police to see

Thing that gets me, is that 98% of the kids being dropped off at school live within a 10 minute walk.

And people wonder why kids are so obese these days

Having a rubbish day, my LO is having temper tantrums left right and centre, it's drained me :( I have students arriving tonight but now I don't have the energy to clean, just want to lie on the sofa and not move(unless it's to get chocolate!) :(

We used to have the same thing with this man visiting neighbours over the back of us, he would always park across my drive so I either couldn't get on or couldn't get off the drive, my son had had enough and called his friend round and they parked infront and behind of the car with a 1cm gap either side :D

The bloke knocked on my door and asked if I knew who the car's belonged to, I said they were my son and his friends cars, and if they had been able to get on the drive they would have parked there, he asked me to ask them to move the cars, I said I would ask them when they returned after there kick boxing classes :rotfl::rotfl: I did also say they often popped into town for a drink afterwards so couldn't give an exact time :D

He paced up and down for about 30 minutes then went and sat in his car, after about an hour I went out and said, silly me I forgot I have a spare set of keys.
He never parked there again :D :T

  • Aww poor you

Have you ever thought of getting them pinned back ?

I've not been doing the batteries (got enough through DTD thank you Mr T ) so I am far from an expert on it and can't advise which to get

I would just add that having read posts on here there are some packs that glitch, some that don't. Some that count as 1 of your 8 items, some that don't

The search button is your friend ;)
