How lovely of them and he is such a darling too. As said, not a replacement for Chicken, just someone to share your love. Name? What about Quorn .... they say it is a chicken substitute :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • I could do with a drink if anyone is offering! Worried sick about my cat, and hearing the weather outside just breaks my heart wondering if he is outside hurt. Worst part is that I'm actually looking after him for my mother who is on holiday at the moment. Goodness knows how ill break it to her if anything has happened, she'll be devastated. Sorry for the morose tone, need get it out!

  • Got an odd one for you guys.

Mate of mine just came in. He's advertised his car in a couple of local rags and gumtree. A fellah emailed him last week saying he'd take his word for the description of the car and needed it for work and would send him a cheque.Value was going to be £900 for the car plus 20 quid the guy offered for taking his word by mail.

Bloke then emailed him a couple of days to see if the cheque had arrived. It arrived today. A bankers draft from an irish bank for £3000. It arrived by airmail from togolaise!!!

Apparently once the money is cleared my mate is to email him so he can organise for the car to be collected.

Sounds like a scam of some description to me but no idea what the angle would be here. Any ideas???

It is a scam i have read it before but not 100% sure of what they get http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/07024041542/2, also even if the fund clear they may b able to recall it i believe for up to 2 weeks i read also http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/2738907/A-cautionary-tale.html similar thing here. hth
