Does anyone here own a food slicer? I've been thinking about getting one for a while, with the idea that I could boil my own hams etc then slice for sandwiches, getting more economical slices than I get with an ordinary knife. They seem to be available from about £35, does anyone have any thoughts or feedback?

I bought one in T's for £2 last year when they had their silly electrical prices and I've never used it :o
It looked such a kerfuffle to use when I took it out of the box that it's been stuck in the cupboard ever since.
I think it's another one of those useful gadgets that are anything but :)
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Please help, fella was trying to change oil filter in my 2006 clio and touched the alternator with the tool. It sparked and so did the battery. Now the car is dead it will not start and even the lights will not turn on. Checked fuse all seem ok. We think the battery could be flat but we have charged it and still nothing not even a sound from the starter motor not sure if it is charging correctly. Any help would be good.

Seen as it sparked you have probably blown the pre-fuse, the big one about 40-50 amps, need to search it out but will be worth looking at .

    Hi all im a lurker!!

I have been very quiet since the dtd days until i saw the apg!!

i stayed up until 2am and read (skimmed) over 200 pages of posts. I did 2 shops today and did very well.

Thankyou all for the info that has made is possible :-)

couple of question which im sure have been answered somewhere. Can you use more the 1 voucher per shop as i have a wombled small 1 to use. How are the items picked that work with the trigger item have tried to fugure it out but had squares eyes by then lol.

    Thanks everyone x

Well done on your 2 shops. Yes you can use more than 1 voucher on each shop, not a good idea if they are big vouchers, but fine for wombles.

The trigger items are generally the cheapest items on the 3 for 2 offer, than compare in both supermarkets.

NOTE I HAVE NOT FOUND THE "TRIPLE" COOL STRIPE IN A SINGLE STORE, I HAVE ONLY FOUND "COOL STRIPE" AND THIS WORKS FINE AS THE TRIGGER

Great post! Good to know the triple and normal cool stripe both work!

You need 8 different items but many people get 9 to be 'safe'.

I get 12 minimum, I feel nervous with any less!!
