Just posting quickly to let you know that I am still up North and my brother is referring to me as 'the squatter' :rotfl: :rotfl: A1/A1M closed for flooding as is part of A19 so not taking the chance as it seems I would have to drive through the worst of it. Going down to see Mam now, with my sister, and will see what tomorrow brings

Just thinking out loud so ignore me if already discussed but if i were managing Mr T's promotions i would be scrapping any 2 for 1s or 3 for 2's because this is like pushing us all into Mr A's.

I miss quite a lot of posts through working and looking after my DD but i was just wondering if other options have been tried and tested recently such as multibuys that are 2 for £3, with 4 for £3 or 6 for £3 at Mr S at the moment? I would be very happy to try it if it hasn't been tried and failed :D

Asda ethos has always to just give low prices rather than multibuys.

But Tesco liked multibuys (a throw back to the pile em high and sell them cheap days maybe...) but its also a pyscholgical thing - buy one get one free - people love the word "free". So they are never going to stop doing multibuys.

Waitrose price match Tesco prices on branded items so that in a way forces them to also have multibuys as long as Tesco does.

And Sainsburys have always been in competition with Tesco anyway.
