I overheard one say 3 for 2 offers and they were bagging up a sample of certain items, one of which I noticed was Rocky bars (trigger for batteries). It could just be updating SELs but I felt as though they knew something, plus there were four security staff there and I've never seen more than two before. Too anxious to use an apg voucher so went to another store, apg was initially refused as they said the amount was inconsistent as a % of the total spend. Checked with manager over the phone and who said they'd just received an email to say their system had been hacked into and a virus had caused this problem, but reluctantly took my apg voucher.
Well I suppose we have been called worse :rotfl::rotfl:
Hey Henlans have they hacked into you too ?, haven't you got a virus :eek:0 -
However, if you are determined to do a shop that generates a high APG, then yes, adding your normal shop won't matter, and will give a lower APG to total shop ratio.
Sorry on phone quoting and editing gives me a headache.
What is the point of generating a high APG when you are not going to get it back? You are essentially just paying full price for those items.
If you then buy stuff that is more expensive in Waitrose you are just wasting money, may as well buy it in asda if it is on offer - on a seperate shop.
The only stuff I will buy with my glitches is stuff that is the same price as waitrose or N/A.
PS I know it wasnt you that first suggested it, just replying in general. The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.

Squigs - I've been doing this with most of my shops
The first couple of days of the glitch, I spent £75 in A ...on glitch stuff and carp fillers.....great news for the glitchy stuff I will use....but theres only so much pepper, batter mix etc I can get through...so I changed tactics!
I've been adding normal stuff like milk, bread, fruit and veg (not single items) and meat to most of my shops. Mostly the meat doesnt compare...however, usually the other stuff does...so unless theres a dramatic difference in price, it can actually help boost an APG
ie...
milk in A £1...in T £1.18
this compares...so the amount that A is going to give you back is going to be an extra 10% of £1.18.... so instead of looking at it like you've lost 18p by buying milk at A, you've actually only lost 7p (£1.18 minus 10%).
This applies to lots of stuff....its only if its a lot more expensive in the other store that it will negatively affect your apg
ie if milk were £1 in A yet £4 in T and compared....you would lose £2.60 on your apg (£4 - £1, minus the 10% difference, 40p = £2.60).
probably clear as mud, but it works!
And saves having to do lots of different shops for glitchy stuff/ normal shopping etc..or going to a different shop for the cheaper items!
What you're doing there is fine Loob!:D
I add my normal shop in with my glitch shop (ensuring there not on offer elsewhere)and rarely buy fillers....what squigs was suggesting was buying stuff on offer in A's but full price in the comparing store to bring the APG down...which is wasting money:eek:"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Not suggesting it at all, simply confirming that this method is no different to doing separate shops and letting your too high APG be capped.0 -
