Hardly amusing as the whole APG system could get pulled if a sensible resolution is not found. If you were asda and your info supplier was so blase about it, I don't think you'd be using them for too long. :(

Asda staff also have a share save scheme so bonuses and incentives could well suffer from this which is another reason staff might be a bit off with people doing this. Quite a few anecdotal reports of people having their shops sabotaged etc.

i wasnt going to reply to this...but it started bugging me whilst I was shopping :) I'm off out again in a mo (not shopping) so dont want to argue but wont be able to reply anyway :rotfl:

I hardly think that the whole APG system will be scrapped because of this. Yes there may be more stringent T&Cs, but we cannot lay blame on any single person for that...most on here have taken advantage and abused the APG system.

A is the leading supermarket....it has the best 'offer' (apg) compared to the others...it isnt going to scrap that because of its own balls up.

If the APG system is owned/managed/created/ran etc by another company, then make no bones about it, they will be liable, not A. Doesnt matter what Mr Foord says, if mys are at fault, then they will compensate for this error - Walmart will ensure that.

Therefore, the arguement as regards staff bonuses etc isnt relevant - this wont affect them...the actual amount A has lost over this will be minimal when you take into account the messed up shops, the extra buying etc...it also helps them stay as market leader, and this whole incident will only make them a stronger company.

DTD through OOD sels at T does affect the individual store and staff - yet no one seems bothered about that when we're queuing at the customer service desk with our overpriced sausages, biscuits, phones etc ;)

I appreciate that As staff may not be happy about what we're doing, and maybe even extra trouty, thats up to them - but most could do the same by shopping at another store - and at the end of the day, whether they like it or not, their job is to be nice to customers :D

If its of any relevance, I've only glitched twice in 10 days....so I'm not personally ripping the backside out of it :D

I was even too wary of using my £18 apg tonight...I used an £8 one on a normal shop instead :o
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

I think my stash is quite modest compared to some.

Being still a newbie here i am finding it hard to read about peoples "stashes" without wondering if I have joined some junkies forum! :D
Still I suppose I'll get used to it soon.
I'm sorry, these vouchers are only exchangeable for abuse!

And ask what they do to them

    Before I start, I am not having a go I promise :o

What would you suggest would be staying under the radar? Before this, I had wombled a few receipts and a heck of a lot more since. My best womble was £4odd, most were less than £1 and a few were around £2. Even if we'd all stuck to under the magic £10 limit that draws less attention, how long do you think it would have taken the powers to be to see that many many more people were using the APG system and claiming more than the average of a pound or two?

I wouldn't say I admired Henlans stash nor his bragging to the media but credit where credit is due, at least he's been honest about what he's done. The cap as you say won't affect that many people although I admit I've gone over the new cap limit a few times with not realising how big the APG would be. By 'hammering' the system, most of us in my opinion, have gotten more than if we'd all stayed under the radar and spread the love over a longer period. If we'd done the slowly slowly catchy monkey method, we'd more than likely be at a fraction of our current stash levels and overflowing with fillers.

There's no right or wrong but for every person on this forum using this glitch, there's probably another 2 or 3 lurkers who may or may not have the same scruples (sp?) as most on here. This was a gift horse. I've taken advantage and I will continue to take advantage. No matter if you've done one shop or 100 shops, each person has contributed towards the downfall of this glitch in a cumulative way.

So in that case, should we all abstain on the next glitch so that it lasts for longer but no one actually benefits from it?

Its not about whether something can be dine but whether it should be done that matters!
The £15 cap will not stop the process but will make it harder for people who need the savings to get them.
    Do you think ?
£15 is still quite a bit, not had one over £10.50 yet but that was by design.
For an example if they would have got an apg for £45 they can still get 3 £15 ers just need to spend the extra £1 each time on fillers.
So to me those that really need the savings will still get it but those that are out to fill a container will have to do a lot more work to get it.

sorry for appearing a bit thick but do you mean he was printing 2 receipts giving you 1 and keeping the other?

no it wasnt a full receipt he was keeping (as i didnt yet pay)
when youre instore if they make a mistake say they scan an item twice they can print the shop out so far on a receipt to see the list and correct it, he scanned all my items before totalling up he printed the shop then took payment and gave me normal receipt

I think you'll find that the 'glitch' hasn't been fixed. The cap of £15 won't stop people getting loads of stuff as all they will do is double the amount of shops they do.:)
