Long nose pliers would be my suggestion.

If you can't get a purchase on it then a drill, self taping screw and a pair of pliers.
  • We had one of those radios in a fairly new Ford Escort we had at the time. It had lost one of the two fast forward/rewind buttons you need to press to get the cassette out. We had the radio replaced under a warrenty but it is obviously a common fault.

Those pretend cassettes with wire on them are a devil for getting stuck. Once you have found a way of pressing both buttons, slip a small flat blade screwdruver below the cassette to help it out.

Don't put anything in again !
