Hi,
I just bought a "new" second hand car and I got a cassette stuck in the player. This also means I cannot listen to the radio until I have got it out.
The model is a Ford 3000 Traffic, Part number traffic ys6f-18k876-ga.
I can't find a manual online, and I have pressed all the buttons, but none seem to eject the cassette.
Here is a pic of the Radio Cassette:

Does anyone know how to eject the tape please?
thanks a lot

Apart from local teenage car theives, suggest a trip to Halfords, sure one of the guys there will do it.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

Why don't you simply replace it with a new stereo? Its not expensive to buy a basic CD radio off the internet and rip the old one out and install the new one.0

In fact; I've only just thought: that's a great money-saving tip! Don't buy in-car CD or mp3 players that will be attractive to thieves; Get a cassette radio and a £1.99 cassette/mp3 adaptor!
But thanks, I can see why some people would see that as the most obvious solution.Apart from local teenage car theives, suggest a trip to Halfords, sure one of the guys there will do it.

The usual method is to press FAST FWD and REWIND buttons together. Otherwise I think you may need to take the unit out and dismantle itHow do I add a signature?0

As above, to eject you need to press your << and >> and the same time. Have you tried this?0

But I forgot to mention that the Rewind button is missing (though you can still press the tiny button underneath).
I just tried it again now that you both said to do this, but to no avail.
I bet the seller knew it was f***ed too. And he told me it works fine if I buy the code for it! - little toerag.Look at it this way... In a hundred years who's gonna care?0 -
I have a Smart Car, and on the CD/cass/radio fitted therein, the button to switch between CD and cassette (and some of the other buttons) have different functions if you hold them down.
Hold down the CD/cass button when there's a cassette in place, and it ejects the cassette.
Try holding buttons down for 3 secs or more.
EDIT: however, having looked at the photo now, I think the "Circle, Curved Line and Arrow" symbol across both the FF and Rewind keys is the clue to a press of both of these being the Eject function....0 -
I got Barry Manilow out with a pair of long nose pliersI think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0

You need to press both buttons quite hard, as you are mechanically pulling the pinchwheel away from the head.
But if that fails there are usually about 20 of that model of radio cassette on eBay for next to nothing, and last time I looked, 7dayshop were selling the MP3 adapters for £1.99.0
