Why do you want tostudy in this arena. Is an area you would like to work in, or is it just for personal interest?
Just for personal interest really. I'm just fascinated by it all and would like to learn more.0 -
ss, all the instructors at our gym are ymca trained, if you are under 25 you can get funding through an hvq!?!! I spoke to the guy who does our training last time he was up (works through a company called central sports? might be worth a google) and he told me I'm too old
think they are ageist!
alternatly I can send you all my anatomy and physiology notes from uni and you can try and make head or tail from them, tho I failed so maybe not the best plan (bear in mind I was studying zoology and they sent me into secnd year HUMAN anatomy and physiology grrrrr)0 -

The info is on it's way as promised, I have recently developed an interest in fitness after a few years of not doing much exercise. I found a great little gym, more like personal training as only 4 or 5 people fit in at once so it's on appointment basis which works for me!
I hope you find what you are looking for.0 -
Thanks nr, you're a star. :kisses3:0

Oh yes, def up for therapy swap!!
If it is any use, SS, when I did my studying, I was able to pay in instalments on all my courses, including those at the local college, so it may be within reach.
Details of all local courses were at my local library where they have some sort of learning "shop".
And it doesn't really matter whether you want to do it for interest's sake, or as a possible career, as long as you enjoy it, you will get loads out of it.

oh ss just remembered i saw at my local college that if you get benefits, including working tax credits, you get free/discounted courses. despite having hated my english night course think I might do summit else next year since it's free!0

Hi there
Is it fitness instructing you are insterested in. If so then the Register of Exercise Professionals has a site
http://www.exerciseregister.org/
that lists qualifications.
And if you are a trade union member you can get discount from first OU courses...
