Refuse delivery or send it back?

Some couriers will charge the client for returning goods rejected or where the delivery failed - if this is the case with the courier they are using, they are entitled to deduct the direct cost of having it returned from your refund.

I know it seems a pain, but take receipt of the goods to ensure the contract is fulfilled on both sides, then follow the returns procedure. If you attempt anything else, it can get really messy.

Thanks fluffnutter - I hope to be able to speak to Misco before the courier arrives, but if not, then I'll bear that in mind.

UPDATE: I spoke to Misco this morning, and they advised me to refuse delivery. I then spoke to City-Link, and by that time Misco had already contacted them and told them not to deliver.

Looking good so far, but I won't consider it wrapped up until I have my refund, expected on Thursday.

Great news, you've got it from the horses mouth that it is ok to refuse delivery so that is a large part of the risk mitigated.

I am sure now it's just a matter of time.
