I think we should leave this thread here, few are going to agree that stealing £5,000 is ok for whatever reason and as that seems to be the basis of both the OP's plans then there is not much we on this board can do to helpHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
''complicated'' in what terms? if its up to me, i wouldnt touch the ltd company, but i read that if I go bankrupt company has to go and I cant be a director for 6 months (?). debt has nothing to do with the business... so the whole thing sounded complicated (to me...)
we do get a working tax credit tho (£36 a week) as a couple. as for jobseeker's, she went to register, but they told us she wont get anything since not been paying NIC for many years or something along these lines. she just had to go and sign every week and check available jobs, but no cash, so she just stopped doing it, that was 2 years ago...
CAB is most useless organisation in the world (never seen any help from them whatsoever), but I'll call on the other helplines listed here next week
thanks for your help
I said it sounded complicated, because it did to me, with there being a business involved, plus you were being ambiguous about why your partner needed the surgery.
Have to say; would never have gone bankrupt for less than £10K; that is not a massive debt in this day and age.
I can understand the NHS not forking out for the IVF, as although it's important to you, it's not 'essential' surgery and many more people need life threatening surgery.
Bit confused as to why your partner can't work. Did I miss something?
Finally, I found the C.A.B very good. Why did you find them useless?0 -
my tuppence for what it is worth . . .
your debt is not huge. heck, mine is way more and even that isnt huge!
We are getting help through CCCS, it is affordable, we can easily live on what we have budgeted.
regarding the IVF, pregnancy takes way more of a strain on a womans body than any job ever could. If she is so weak that she cannot find work, then truly pregnancy is not a life solution - it would more likely be a life sentence.
There are other options, surrogacy, adoption, fostering . . . .0 -
you need to sort out your priorities fella
If she is weak and very skinny then how will IVF help ?
Should the focus not be on getting her back to full health first and into work ?
she had 3 operations in past 2 years (2 within 3 months!) and not really able to do any physical work being very skinny and weak as well. QUOTE]
That doesn't really sound like a woman who would be accepted for IVF treatment by any ethical organisation.
It's a good thing I don't believe a word of any of your posts. Otherwise I would worry about your GF's wellbeing.
