what to do with old oil in tank and plastic tank?

Hi - we are about to change to gas heating from oil. Once done we will still have some oil left in the tank and a plastic tank.
What do we do with that oil? Will someone buy it from us?
And how do we get rid of the tank? - someone suggested contacting local farmers as always looking for big plastic tanks. Is that true or can we sell the tank too?

Any neighbours still use oil heating? I would have thought they would be keen to do a deal with you if the price was right, based on the way oil prices have soured since last winter.

I would have thought you own the tank too (unless possibly you are tied to one supplier) so should be free to do with it what you want.
