I heard some people rolling a rolling pin on the dry coriander seeds before planting - any benefit to this? Will they germinate quicker?

Cilantro is the american term right?

Where do you get your seeds from please?

Real Seeds do a variety for leaf rather than seed. I find that if you just get 'coriander' then you end up with bolted plants - whereas Cilantro doesn't bolt anywhere near as fast.

If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

    Thanks :)

I will certainly give this a go next spring.

Quilquina looks nothing at all like the coriander leaves - what's the flavour like?

Similar, though I must admit I haven't cooked with it much, except as a light garnish.

Goes in most of my sarnies, though.
  • I grow it easily from seeds bought in Wilkinsons. Sown directly into soil enriched with compost. This is coriander for leaf btw.
  • The trick is to keep cutting - even if you aren't using it, just keep trimming it.
