Just be careful with the data limit...if you don't have the maps stored offline on the phone it will be constantly downloading them as you drive along0 -

sygic downloads the maps and they are read of the phone, can be "got" for android easily0

Don't know if any of you are interested. I've just updated my live services. By going through Quidco I will get 8% cashback and I used code TTWCPCHGBP at the checkout which gave me £8 discount too.:j0

Enjoy having a pop at iPhone users? Stick to your android tat - each to their own. My iPhone is perfect for my needs, I don't need to use it as a satnav very often as my car has a factory fitted one. Dedicated devices are generally better suited to purpose than expecting a mobile phone to cover absolutely every application perfectly.
I use the factory fitted sat nav in my car too. I think its a far better option than having an obstruction stuck to the windscreen, and I'd rather not have wires trailing all over the place.0 -
I like a dedicated satnav unit myself. I have used an iphone (Navfree, Google Maps) before, but didn't like the way it heated up (apparently the GPS chip runs very hot) and wondered if all my phone stuff was at risk of a burnout. I'm very happy with my TomTom. You can get new one for UK and ROI for under £100 now. No problem suckering it to the screen. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0
