Chilly here today, so have just lit fire. Have been to market today and got loads of meat,a dog bed and some straw for reindeer food. Then waxed dresser and put on eBay and started on the other one. Needing to sell some of our furniture as we have too much, so hoping to get some money to put towards Christmas food. Tomorrow will be running around like mad thing, but all due to appointments so I can't prep today. Hugs to keep warm!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    Hi all,
Very quiet here as DH and both DS are at a sporting event, not sure yet who will want tea.I got a small ys lamb butterflied joint yesterday,so have popped that in the Remoska with various veg,and sweet pots and some harissa.I will please myself when to eat and they can sort themselves out.:D
It feels like its going dark already,so may decamp into the living room and cosy up with my book till grubs up.With the house quiet ,I told myself I was going to do a job I,ve been putting off,so tackled the utility.Looks much better now.I put some towels out to dry,but they havent ,surprised cos its quite windy here.
Hugs to those feeling their empty nest.
hope you all enjoy your Sunday evening x

  • Evening all, well it's been a really miserable day here, managed a dry walk with jack this morning and it has rained persistently since about 10 am. it's quite chilly but we are just sitting under fleeces when we watch TV so heating not on yet. Had roast chicken for dinner which was lovely. School work done so off to watch X factor and Downton and do a bit of knitting. have a good evening all and stay warm.:)

  • Evening everyone

Late posting again. Update on home situation, ended up with big argument with dh on friday afternoon, I got really upset, talked again in great depth on sat morning. End result he has agreed to try and support me with ds1. They went to watch a football match together on saturday day and came back quite amicable so will see how things go. Went to local fund raising event and helped today for scouts with ds2, it was a bit of a wash out although I was in a tent and relatively dry. Really enjoyed myself though and feel much better than I have for days. Last night we went to a balloon twighlight festival which was lovely (mse as got free tickets). A quite good weekend but quite tiring. Dreading going into work tomorrow, bright side is it is only a few weeks till half term when I am off.

os today uniforms ironed. kitchen cleaned. Yesterday made microwave plum jam with plums from tree in garden it is very tasty.

Taplady - Hope you and your dh are soon feeling better.
JackieO - Hope your dgs isnt too shocked re the book.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care
