thx again frugal m not sure if m on e7 or e10 any idea where i can check which one i'm on pls,,?
If you're on e10 like me you'll have three meter readings, I think e7 is just two. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? ah thx viva,,, guess m goin to give the landlady a ring if i should call in someone to check it,,i used storage heaters on my previous rented flat as well but it just work according to the timer set by the landlord. If its the meter failure - should i ring my electric provider - EDF or still get some engineer to check it? guess m on E7 in that case then,,o.o0

Good luck with the land lady jessie. It should be rented with working heating so they need to get it sorted. When you first mentioned it, I thought you were the homeowner. If there's a landlady involved, then they should have something as vital as heating working for their tenants.
Incidentally, some of the Creda storage heaters have a secondary backup convection system (this is a light up orange rocker switch on the right hand side of the unit). Its not on all, and they tend to to be in bigger spaces such as lounges. If you have one of those you could try switching that on to see if you can get some heat that way. You'll know if you have that type as there will also be two electrical leads from the appliance, one for economy 7 or 10, the other for the standard electricity supply, as well as two different wall switches. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? If it's the teleswitch (as demonstrated by your meter not changing rate) then you phone your electricity supplier.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Did landlady actually check the heaters when the previous tenants moved out or has she taken their word for it that the heaters work? Because the previous tenants would probably not say the heaters didn't work in case they lost their deposit.
Electrical things that seem loose need the attention of an electrician.
Cold air from the bottom of the heater suggests it's a fan assisted storage heater but with no stored heat all it will blow is cold air.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Hi Owen, I believe the landlady just ask the previous tenants via emails..I think it must be fault on the heaters even i asked around with friends who has storage heaters said it should work fine if i have the input/output setting properly...sigh waiting for the agent to give me a number to ring for an electrician..fingers crossed...0

Hi
Few weeks ago i moved in a new flat - im tenant. The accommodation, an one bedroom house, has - from outside to upstairs:
outside, by the entrance door i have got a counter which shows 3 lines (1, 2 and T). Does this mean that i am on Economy 7?
living room and bedroon- a heater for each room.
I would like to know how to use them to take the best from them.
In a cupboard i have the boiler and that TS900B 24 hour immersion heater time controller. I dont know how to use it either.
In the bathroom i have got an electric shower and a thing - kind of switch. To turn it on u need to pull down a rope.
I mention that i have got only electricity and water bills.
Now, my questions:
1. Am I on Economy 7 scheme?
2. How can i set up proper my heaters?
3. what for is that switch from bathroom?
4. Does TS900B control the heaters from living and bedroom?
5. What are the most usual settings for TS900B?
6. What are the most usual settings from heaters?
Im very puzzled because sometimes i have hot water in the kitchen and no hot water in the bathroom?!?!?!?!
PLEASE, HELP ME!0 -
3. the pull cord switch is probably a safety isolator for the electric shower. It should have a little mechanical flag showing whether it's on or off.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
