I have a Sagem my521x which has suddenly stopped sending texts. I can phone out, receive calls and texts no problems.
But if I tried to text anyone in my phonebook sim or phone I get Text Stopped , Resume? I hit resume and it just stops again and again.
Also up beside the GRPS there a strange flashing symbol, its red and looks like the old film cartridges you put in cameras. Now it appeared last year and then just disappeared again after a while, but it did not stop me sending texts then.

Have you got a full inbox/sentbox? It could be just memory issue, if you have too many old texts stored, try deleting a few?0

So you never mentioned where you said you had soft reset the handset by re-powering the handset.
Also the red symbol could mean something too, I have never really experienced a sagem handset , but I am confident the meaning of the symbol is in the manual.0 -
The symbol will probably be that you've got a voicemail.
Are you sure you've got credit and you've got signal? The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Okay,
Never save Text messages, delete as I go.
The GPRS, in the manual says it should be Black,Grey or Red. Mine has always been a blue with a white outline. Mentions a symbol saying it flashes when logging on to a GPRS, and stops flashing when it has connected. But the icon/symbol is normally not there anyway.
The messages which would not send where still in my Out Box. I deleted them.
Tried texting message to friend and get the same thing
0/1 Sending Stopped. Then asks Resume or Cancel
Voice Mail is empty.
Yes, I have signal phoned person to say Happy Birthday after text would not go.
I have taken the battery out a few times for a few moments. Turn back on and still the same.
Oh, yes there is money on the phone.
This is driving me nuts!!!!
Thank you for the help so far.0 -
Check in your settings that your message centre number is still there and correct.
Also, I would suggest a hard reset and manual roam - take the battery and SIM out of the phone for a few minutes. Pop back together and go to your network settings. You'll be set at the moment to automatically connect to you network but change this to manual and select a network you AREN'T on. You won't be able to connect to this. Then reselect your own network. Sometimes if you've had no signal or there's a problem with a local cell-site, this helps just reconnect you properly.0
