Want to leave BT (hardly use my home phone) - any good cheap Landline alternatives?

same have to set myself a reminder to make those two
phones a month. Find it really irritating to have to remember to plug the phone back in. How many people do you think forget? If you do it on the 1st of every month you could build up a routine, but if you're away it would mess up the routine, I've just put a big post it on my bookcase where the phone is kept to constantly remind me so its easier to remember on a long term basis.



I've been on the phone to o2 broadband a few times last week and didn't have a problem getting though and you can request a callback at a suitable time for you which was on time as well.

Exactly,...that's what BT are banking on.
But i'll be making those calls, by hook or by crook.
They're not getting anymore dosh outta me!

If your not on BT Line Rental saver no need to make 2 calls if you dont use landline. Just cancel inclusive caller display/and 1571 voicemail.

my line rental saver finished and so I automatically went to monthly billing.

guess what, as my broadband option includes evening and weekend calls, I still have to make 2 calls a month, I had no idea.

the calls were part of the broadband package, I did not want them but they said they could not take it off, so I had to take out the broadband with the calls, but they never mentioned the two calls a month, and I never thought that would be part of the deal with a broadband package.

do they put people on caller display automatically?

I am looking forward to switching to a provider for basic line rental with no extras and broadband with no call packages, just line rental to the line rental company and broadband to the broadband company
