Mrs money penny... My friend didn't notice when she did her DS sandwich and the school called her to say his sandwiches were blue and could they give him a school meal! She was mortified and DS still won't eat sandwiches!! :rotfl:

Hello to all the newbies  I have a spend of £2.85 to add, have updated sig, also have a very small AF order, which is a large stock of coffee plus a couple of other store items, which will be labelled into my buy back and im am going to put extra price on them, and save the xtra in a pot, so should be a few quid in. Am going to be slightly over for this time in the month, when AF order goes on, so am going to do a fiscal fast this week. Not sure if i can do it, but it means no spends for the week0

Well, this challenge must be having some influence on me:T:T.. I was going to go to Asdf and do a shop for the week and then I thought why not just use the stuff out of my cupboards/freezer that is already there.. Only problem is that I only have enough frozen bread for two days worth of sandwiches for work.. so will have to think what I can use for the other two days... Lets see what I can find and how inventive I can be..:rotfl:
This also appeals to the lazy side of me lol as I hate doing anything before a shift.. plus side as well is that I have done a little de-cluttering as had some free time before my shift...
It did make me think though that prior to this challenge I would spend whatever on my groceries (I didn't give myself a limit).. and not give it a second thought. My attitude was I study/work hard so I deserve it. Looking at my bank statements from previous months.. I had easily spent £70 a week on my grocery shopping..:eek:
Also made me realise that if I had planned my shopping last week rather than impulsively going into Mr.T, I could have knocked £10 off my grocery bill...
Mmmm... food for thought.. Anyway am going to try and get to the end of the week without buying anything other than some cheap veg for my juicer..

Re naan bread, I believe Nigella has a recipe for turning them into pizzas.
Re food cupboards, I get all antsy if I think we have over purchased and worry that we won't eat it all before it goes off, which tends to make me pig out more too. So I try to keep food supplies on the lean side.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Mrs Money-Penny I used to do that a fair bit as well whoops. I must admit that now I make the kids their lunches as well I am more careful at checking the end of the bread!
I did my weekly shop this morning £50.87 spent in Asda, didnt really have loads to show for my money! Only need milk and bread through the week now.
With regards to YS and reduction times our Mr S does them at 9.30-9.45 Mon-Fri and 8.30-8.45 on a Saturday (no idea about sunday). At this time the items are all reduced to 20p and 30p. 5.30/6pm on a saturday its usually less than half price. (I have had a few bargains of 20p and 30p stuff lately).
Am going to be doing a but of baking once I have picked up the DDs from school. Am also making my Friends DD some cakes for tomorrow as apparently she keeps talking about the ones I make so I thought I would make her some for her birthday tomorrow.
I plan on lots of NSDs this week although will need bread on Wednesday and Saturday and Milk on the weekend as well.2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.
