Thanks rosieben!
Reporting a spend of £5.16 - mostly on pears. :rotfl: Our corner-shop Tesco had loads of them. Mr Merle decided to pick up an entire tray (12 in all - and we left loads behind so I don't feel too bad), I told him that might be a bit much, but he wouldn't hear of it, lol. I'm going to have to look out some more recipes now.We confuddled all the students and alcoholics that were inhabiting the premises at 11pm as there was only one checkout open (self service) and there we were shovelling pears into bag after bag. :rotfl:
Also managed to pick up three cans of evaporated milk at 30p a pop, and also some half price Ambrosia. A fifth of what we paid went on a 4 pack of Mars Bars for Mr Merle(!). Bit of a good haul at any rate. xa penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -
First month for me and can I be put down for 200 please? There are only 2 adults and it is just for our food and for household as the animals have their own little budget for food etc. I'd actually like it to be half that, but thought it best to start off with a reasonable amount and try to cut it month-by-month.
