  • I have just placed my order for Asda for next Friday. I have spent 3 hours checking and double checking prices, weights and value for money. Hope fully it will be easier next time. As long as I haven't forgotten much and need to add them, I am at the moment £72 for next week, which is way under budget, so time well spent.
    That is for 2 adults, both on special diets and 2 very hungry fussy cats lol.
  • Can you put me down for £200 for October please, Coxy?

    Hi,

    !!

    My budget (25th to 25th) is going to be... £120

    My little freezer at the top of my little fridge is horrible, so I'm looking at buying a mini freezer seperately next month so I can batch cook and freeze...(a definite need in my life!). I think it will save me heaps long term as at the minute I can't bulk cook and freeze anything. Plus I could fit an ice cream maker in there next summer! Mwahahahahahaha!

    So, today is taking stock and writing lists day for me! Wish me luck!
    i went mad when i got my spare chest under the counter freezer i went on all the yank omac sites but in the end i made pies and mince portions with tvp in a few ready type meals based on sausage

    thanks all

    Hello everyone :wave: I've given up on September as we've been on holiday and the GC is all over the place! I think I've done ok, but as the DDs were home alone for 10 days, I have no idea what was spent etc......(it's ok - they're old enough to leave on their own :D - well and truly grown up!)

    Thanks to Zippy and Rosie for keeping everything up and running, and a big hello, and thanks to Coxy for taking over from HelenJelly.:T
    Helen - thanks for all the hard work you've put in, and see you soon on here :T

    Coxy - can you put me down for £75 per week again please.

    I'm sure I saw a post here asking what APG meant but can't find it now. I think APG means Asda Price Guarantee and is from a 'glitches' thread? I've no idea what I'm talking about really so maybe someone could post the info in case the person is still looking :)

    I'm not sure where the post is either but the Asda Price Guarantee is this:
    You do your usual shopping in Asda and keep the receipt!
    Wait at least 3 hours - I usually wait until the next day
    Go online to the Asda Price Guarantee website www.asdapriceguarantee.co.uk/
    Type all the info from the receipt in the boxes - it's easy!
    Follow the instructions and you will see if Asda was cheaper than the other 3 supermarkets
    Even if they were cheapest, if they weren't 10% cheaper than the rest, they will give you a voucher for the difference to print out

    I kept a record of all the vouchers I had from them for about 9 months and stopped counting after I'd added up over £110 in total!
    As you can see, I think it's worth a look. I don't get as many vouchers these days, but that probably means I'm getting a bit more savvy and playing them at their own game!
    2025 Fashion on the ration
    150g sock yarn = 3 coupons
    Lined trousers = 6 coupons ...total 9/66 used
    2 t-shirts = 8 coupons
    Trousers = 6 coupons ... total 23/66
    2 cardigans = 10 coupons
    Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 38/66
    Nightie = 6 coupons
    Sandals = 5 coupons ... total 49/66
  • I am back and I WILL NOT FAIL!

    I will have £226.25 in my grocery account as of the 3rd Oct (currenty £75 in debit :o ) so that is my budget for a family of 5.
    NSDs 7/20
    Make £10 a day £403.74/£310
