Capital Bank

  • I sent off my PPI claim form to Black Horse a week ago for my Car Hire Purchase which was originally arranged through Capital Bank in Aug 2006 and today I received the standard acknowledgement letter saying that their going to look into the complaint so it looks as if they're taking over the Capital Bank complaints too.
  • I have undertaken some additional research into my Capital bank loan from 1997. I managed to trace the ppi policy to a company called St Andrews. I rang them they traced my policy gave me my loan account number and confirmed that the loan had come through the Bank of Scotland/Halifax group.

They also told me the original cost of the policy excluding interest which was £3201.

This has all be passed on to the Halifax and they have confirmed they are investigating my claim

I would recommend anyone doing a bit of your own research and making a few calls if you have no documentation rather than just leave it to the banks. The outcomes can be worth it and you know the bank have the correct information to work with
  • I got a letter back from BOS asking for more details, which I have supplied, but havent heard anything back from them yet.
  • Yet another letter from BOS asking for more information, so have found all the documents and sent them copies now.
Just a case of waiting again.
My loan also was from 1997 but with NWS Bank Group.
