Missing water meter

that would be classed as a relocate and chargeable, it was obviously fitted internally for a reason, there may be drains outside or supply runs close to house for example so external cant be fitted or the water co may prefer to fit inside
Can they charge current owner for a re-locate when OP claims there wasn't a meter there and four of their techs couldn't find one ? They can't blame OP if meter was removed by previous occupant. - it was after all a repossession.
Diameter of meter pod is, what, 9" ? or 12" ?. The supply would have to run extremely close to house to prevent fitting. Could a piece of poly pipe be inserted to divert the supply a foot or so away from the house or any drains to give more room - I can't think why not.
If W. Cos prefer to fit internally, they should accept responsibility for any damage caused.0 -
