o2 and orange will give you a contract with a deposit. also try Carphonewarehouse.0

all networks require a three yr address history. if you try on orange and put living in uk for 1 yr and tick the previous address abroad box you will most likely be offered a contract with a £75 up front deposit. this is the cheapest deposit there is. as long as you pay you're bills you will get the deposit back. t-mob deposit is £100. don't lie on the credit check as a deposit for someone resident in the uk for 3 yrs or more without a great credit score is £150.
It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt

I would just put that you have been here 3 years on the form.0

Most things are automatic, like when you want the better credit card and they state you must earn so much to get the one with the better benefits, as long as you don't go over, the system accepts it straight away.
The chance is entering 3 years, would just be accepted, we all do from time to time make genuine mistakes when entering info. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
That's odd. We signed up with T Mobile for 1 years contract with a Web'nWalk (internet) for our computer. We had only been here 2 weeks at the time. They never asked us about being here 3 years. They were fine.
I should be so lucky, very very luckyDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Thanks all for your help! I still didn't try going straight to the mobile operators as I was looking forward to get the 12 months cashback on the 12 months contract.
I still don't know what I will do, but if I decided to fill in the form with the 3 years mistake I will let you know how it was :P0 -
hi,
If you put anything less than 3 yrs u most likely wouldnt get a contract .
If you go to high street they themselves will put down that u live there for 3 plus years.
As long as you r fine otherwise in ur credit history, nothing happens to your credit history.
Just say u r living there for 3 years n 3-5 months in first go rather than trying first with 1 year cos u will not get a contract if turned down initially.
