Sorry, not true. See my post above.

Have you been getting it this way for some years? Maybe it was possible but the rules have been changed?

I think the rules have changed over the time that this payment has been in operation. Apparently it was first set up in 1997/98. A lot has happened since then and I can't remember all the details. I do know that DH and I only got together in late 1997 so, to refer to what zygurat accuses me of, I did 'do my own thing' in those days because I had no choice not to. I don't remember ever applying for the WFP.

The first year I qualified was 2011.

And you're both just on basic SP?

In that case, someone has probably messed up on the computer and not pressed the right button.

The rules are the rules. I just want to know what they are. What's so very wrong with that?
If you want to know what the rules are, phone DWP and ask them, or scour around the gov.uk website. If you then get a definitive answer, you might want to share that information.

If you want to know what people's experience is, ask away here, but please remember to be nice to all moneysavers, even if you don't agree with their answers / don't like their answers / don't believe their answers / don't believe they've read your questions / don't feel they've answered your questions.

No, my husband is older than I am and he gets £200 and when I reached the qualifying age I didn't bother claiming so he still gets it. (This is what I thought you were asking about)

We certainly don't get £200 each!

This is exactly what I am trying to find out. I never intended to suggest that you received £200 each.
So it is possible despite what you can read above.
    Thank you

It has nothing to do with not agreeing with me and I never disagreed with her.
That poster started off with irrelevant comments and then started and continues to give disparaging answers which it would appear are incorrect. If she could stop giving her opinions as facts and only answer questuions she knows the answer to it would at least be helpful.

But there are many ways of responding to people on forums, and I am suggesting that before putting fingers to keyboard we should all consider whether or not our response is in line with Martin's request to 'be nice to all moneysavers'.

Also if you read my entire post you'd see I didn't limit myself to suggesting that there was an issue with disagreements, even though that's all you appear to have picked up on. On this forum (on most fora), you get a range of responses. They are not all short, sweet and to the point.

If you want definitive information, you ask the responsible body. That's rarely MSE.
