I now have 5 items not paid for since weds. 2 are the one who wants to pay next week. One is a collection only so that's fine. And the other 2 all have fast payer written all over their feedback. Not for long ;) I'm wondering whether it's something to do with it being near the end of the month and people running out of money. Well in that case, wait till you flipping have some before you buy stuff you can't pay for! I could relist them all this weekend and probably get the money quicker.

Be careful with feedback - anything deemed a false positive can be removed.

Oh don't worry, I'll be very 'nice' about throwing it in there lol. Since 21 people haven't even left me fb yet, I doubt they'll be getting any either. I only leave fb for buyers after they let me know their item arrived. I always leave fb for sellers when my item arrives. I post straight away the next available day after payment and I don't overcharge for p&p yet my p&p stars are still on 4.6!!! They went up to 4.7 then down again after someone left fb. Don't know what else they expect me to do?

At least someone else has paid though after sending him another invoice.

One of the others has now paid and sent me a message asking me to send to a different address. As they didn't pay for a few days, I'm reluctant to do anything other than what I am supposed to do. I've replied saying as the address is different to their paypal address I'd rather send to that one, as I wouldn't be covered otherwise. I'm past caring now. It's not that expensive, but that's besides the point. If they want to pay for tracked delivery, I'll send it to the other address.
  • I nearly always wait until the last few seconds to place bids as l am pretty certain l have been subject to Shill bidding so many times in the past. It is also a good way to get some good bargains, however the downside for me is that if the item l won is local collection l feel so guilty about handing over such a small amount l usually give them more...lol

I usually wait till the last minute to bid as well, but I don't message the person selling the item after it ends when I miss out on it. I usually end up forgetting to bid anyway. What does annoy me though is when I forget to bid, you can guarantee that the item will sell for 99p or not at all, but when I sit there watching it, it will sell for a lot more than I want to pay for it. Sods law!

I had the opposite problem, I felt guilty taking as much money as I did on a local collection item as I wasn't expecting it to sell for as much as it did lol. I did specify in the ad though that I would cancel if they weren't happy with it, and she was, so she paid. She did however say she'd thought she'd put in 99p when she'd actually put in £99 oops! Then I felt even more guilty lol. She still had the option to change her mind though.

I've not heard back from the person wanting me to send to a different address yet. I'm wondering whether to message them again saying if it's a problem then I will refund. Am I doing the right thing not sending to the address that's not in their paypal? Or am I just being overly cautious? I just can't be bothered. They will probably say it's not arrived now anyway even if I send it to the right address.

Edit: he just replied saying it was for his gf and he wanted it sending direct, and that he has good fb so didn't think it would be a problem. I replied saying good feedback still doesn't cover me if the item goes missing.

Edit no2 He then replied saying "Just send it to me then" no please, nothing! Feel like refunding him and not sending and copping a negative. Don't care now! lol

Unless you send tracked it doesn't matter where you send it as you're not covered for INR with paypal anyway, unless you can prove delivery.

Gosh I feel the same as you about ebay only as a buyer. If I'm at my computer I always pay immediately the auction ends otherwise always within 12 hours. I am polite, leave feedback and wait a couple of weeks before chasing up something I haven't received. Yet lately I seem to be receiving below par goods, below par service and for the few items I have had problems with I have never had a good seller like those who come on here who reply and refund or offer to pay postage.

Dunno what it is but I get the feeling everyone feels that everyone else is trying to scam them when it's not really true. I think one of the problems is that the buyer has too much power as ebay is so biased in their favour.

Yeah I was discussing this with a friend earlier. When I thought about it, I thought actually, why do they even say you should send it to the address in paypal or you're not covered? As even if it didn't arrive, what are Paypal gonna do? Why is that rule even there? I was just going to send it 2nd class post like I do with all my stuff now. I used to send recorded delivery, which is maybe where I got my low P&P stars from, but then decided that even then you're no more covered than if you send it normal post. Tracked is too expensive and people wont pay it, so no point even bothering with that.

So would you suggest I send it to the address he gave me? It's not a high value item, but his rudeness makes me think I should just send it to his address now. But if it makes no difference to me either way?
