Scottish Power Deals/Eon
It's a shame Eon didn't come up with a good replacement deal sooner, as their customer service and customer website is great.
But - with a baby on the way and terrified of how my bills could rocket - I switched to the Scottish P Deal Fixed Dec2013 last Wed, when Eon SaveOnline 9 ran out. Compared to this deal, I probalby won't save on the Scottich Power, but I guess the point is all prices are going up, so it's grabbing those cheapest deals.
However, I've not been able to find what I'll actually be paying per kWh on the Scottish Power site - has anyone else found the rates anywhere?

If you only applied last Wednesday, you should still be within the cooling off period to cancel the application.
Speak with your current supplier, E.on. They should be able to both stop your application and transfer you to the cheaper deal they are now offering. A further advantage is that such a transfer should happen immediately, allowing you to save not only more, but start saving sooner :beer:0 -
Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think EON were offering any cheap deals at the moment. If you only applied last Wednesday, you should still be within the cooling off period to cancel the application.

Oh, my poor heart, it can't take this kind of surprise.
I need to know, what cheap E.On deal?
Nothing on the E.On website.0 -
I switched to the same plan with Scottish Power last week and received a welcome pack in the mail a few days ago, it had all the kWh info on it, so i'd say you'll be receiving similar shortly (i'd let you know what i'm paying but I think it differs depending on where you live?) they did have the info on their website when the deal was still running but presume they've removed it as the deal is no longer available.0

Maybe I misread the OP's post?
I simply read that the OP posted
i.e. "It's a shame Eon didn't come up with a good replacement deal sooner,..." and "... I switched to the Scottish P Deal Fixed Dec2013 last Wed, when Eon SaveOnline 9 ran out. Compared to this deal, I probalby won't save on the Scottich Power,..."
I now see it's not entirely clear whether the "deal" the OP refers to is "a good replacement deal" from E.On or a tariff that no longer exists for new applicants :cool:0 -
Input your details into one of the comparison and the tariff details will be on there.0

Sorry - yes a little unclearly written. Eon haven't come up with any deals to rival the Scottish Power fixed deals, and from what I'm understanding from other threads the Online9 is expiring for quite a few folk around now.0 -
My switch to Scottish Power is almost complete, but I had another call from e-on yesterday to try to persuade me to stay but they could come nowhere near on price.
What the lady did say to me was that although she couldn't say too much at present there are going to be some very good tariffs coming out in a couple of months so I might want to keep my eye on them.
I wonder if they now realize they've cocked up with so many people leaving?

Thanks for that info Forever Summer - makes me feel better!
That's interesting to know about Eon - I think they really have cocked up here. Don't know if this is fact, but in another Eon/ScotP related post I read that Eon plan to offer a about £120 cashback mid-Nov to do a dual fuel switch. I think they've offered this recently too, but if this info is true, they may be doing it again, so if the rates are competitive, might be worth another switch.
I'll miss Eon's website, as it's great for tracking what you use and owe - seems like if you want to find out anything important it's going to mean a dreaded phone call to SP.0 -
For what it's worth if you use both gas and electricity do not presume dual fuel contracts are cheaper ..
For example,a low gas user - we just use a gas hob means that some duel fuel contracts have standing daily charges for gas.
In my case this means that I save a fair bit by moving my electric to Scottish January 2014 but leaving my gas with eon.
Hope the thought helps others to save who are in the same situation.0
