Just as a note, Some of you might like to know that the spud harvest is goiung to be the worst In 20 years,. The crop yeild is down 15% on normal. Also apple harvest will be hit bad.
Add this to the world wide corn and wheat harvests being well down on normal levels. You can expect to pay more In the shops again soon.

I knew apples were bad due to p*ss poor spring, out of my two little apple trees only one was pollinated because there were just no bees, likewise my courgette plants have been terrible. Had a single solitary courgette from it
Can't even miss the spuds and dine on pasta instead  living on rice it is then ;)

Feel tired at the moment, not sure if it's stress or what.......got loads rattling round my head at the moment :o

Anyway I am stripping bed today, got loads to go in the wash, got stuff to go on the line (it's really dull and grey here) so hands up who reckons it will all be hanging round the house

Cleaning kitchen today, BM to go on, twinks to make and probably some choc chip cookies for kids lunchboxes.

Sorry brain gone blank :o so hugs and spoons all round xxxx

  • Just whizzed into Wilkos on the way back from school as I had to buy some paint and they have Lynx shower gels for a quid so I bought some to put away toards small Christmas pressies, also Addidas one which I know my DGDs boyfriend likes I get him a little something to unwrap from the tree so he won't feel awkward on Christmas Day We all do as he is a nice lad and doesn't earn a great deal as an apprentice and what he does earn he gives mostly to his Mum to help out
Wilkinsons seem to have some good deals at the moment especially with washing powder/liquids at £3.00 for a 28 wash box /bottle I got a Surf Lavender one.
Just about to do a little bit of painting in my conservatory I have a long table in there that I use for refurbing small bits and bobs Today I have a small frame that's been rubbed down and undercoated soneeds a top coat to finish it off.
Chicken is marinating well in the fridge for tonight and lunch will be apple and parsnip soup and crackers and cheese with some fruit to follow very healthy :):)

p.s. any signs of Monnagrans new grandchild yet
  • Morning, really chilly here this morning. I have a few hours to potter about in and then am going to visit son. Will try and get his garden ready for winter while I am there, but the main aim of the visit is to have lunch with him, the project coordinator and the transitions worker who helped set this project up. Looking forward to it.
So lunch will be sandwiches. Dinner probably another stir fry. Have OH here this weekend so need to get a bit more organised with meals and shopping. I keep saying that.

    Have a good day all.

JackieO - thanks for the tip about Lynx!:T

Both DH and I are both at home still - he's still suffering with sciatica and I'm still full of cold.:( on the plus side it is nice to spend time together:) just hope I dont pass my bugs on to him.

My colposcopy went ok - 3 weeks though for the results. This morning an appointment for my ultrasound scan have come through - not had one of these for over 20 years! definitely not looking forward to having a full-bladder before it - got to drink 1 or 2 pints of water an hour before!:eek:yikes!

Have tidied through, hoovered the bedroom and lounge and hung the washing out.

Leftover cauli cheese and jacket spuds for my tea, not sure about the others yet.

    Have a great day all

    Take care x

Have been shopping today and Aldi was packed, no special priced stuff this week either, and they had no eggs or potatoes  I did get 2 of each of the super six, and have already prepared them and put them in the freezer.
animated-smileys-babies-011.gifCongratulations to all of you monnagran, what a lovely name.

This is a worrying turn of events especially if you are a meat eater.....Time to stock up while meat is a reasonable price :(
