You might want to give a little more context on the toilet training you've tried to date.0

What products are you using to clean up his mess?
If the products are ammonia based he will continue to toilet in that area.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
My dachshund was a luttle devil to toilet train as well. Particularly hates rain/getting wet and has to be forced out still when he needs to go. Finally at 11 months old i can trust that he is solidly trained. Does yours give you any sign he needs to go? Ours used to just stand by the door for about 10 seconds then just be a bit like 'oh no ones letting me out, carpet it is then' but has now learned to bark to let us know.0

Have you done the whole
- take him out every hour all day, from morn 'til night
- stay outside until he goes after each meal or on walks, however long it takes
- praise and treats when he goes outside
- don't let him out of your sight when indoors, whisk him out if ANY sign or if he starts to go, thing?
Did you consistently do everything recommended in your earlier thread?

sounds like my little one,but he does not let us know yet.
and yes we have tried everything in my previous thread0 -
Do you tend to leave the door between the house and garden open for him to come and go as he pleases? This can often hinder housetraining rather than help it as it stops the dog having a defined place to toilet and place to not toilet - they all merge into one.
If it's been very persistant despite training, it could be worth a vet check to rule out a UTI or anything else going on.0 -

How long did you stick it all out for? Did taking him out every hour or two and keeping him out until he goes make any difference?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
if you try lots of different things, you may end up confusing him. Are you with him most of the day? Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

In my opinion, getting him neutered will not make the toilet training any easier unless of course he is marking his territory indoors rather than actually having a wee.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0
