  • We did have an 18 month old Pug 205 1.9 at work many moons ago. We bought it from Group4. It was on 85,000 miles - it'd been used by the day shift, the night shift and the inbetween shift.

OP - did I see somewhere else on this site that your cars are RRV's?

I have always been worried about buying high milers but judging by the amounts on some of these it seems I have worried for no reason.

^ Mine was bought at 95,000 miles. Nothing major has gone wrong engine and gearbox wise. Only the usual serviceable items have been replaced (same with the motorbike which I had from new).

Reminds me of one of the managers at my old place. He took his company fester TDCI for it's first MOT and it failed on pretty much everything, poor thing was near dead.

In it's defence, it had done 175k, most of them with the pedal to the metal.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Erickson Molecular Tranporter MK1, 13,476 parsecs - but requires careful targetting and has tendency to bring back twice as many kids as were sent to school, one good and one bad.
I need to think of something new here...
