  • Thanks for all the replies so far.

I only have £3000 to spend and the IQ/ Aygo/ Sparks all seem to be more than my budget.

I have another bigger car as well for the family and was looking for a little one as my job entails alot of community work so thought a Smart would be more zippy, economical, easier to park etc.

Thanks for all the tips so far!
  • Smart ForFour Cdi, very ecomonical and rear seats for added flexibility
  • We have an 04 smart fortwo, passion, used to tow behind our motorhome. It has been the most troublesome car to own as always something wrong - and it usually needs a main dealer as a lot of normal garages will not work on them. It is very cute, nice to nip out locally in town, parking is fantastic, but its quite a hard ride, very bumpy as its such a short wheel base. Parts are silly prices from main dealers.

Opinion 5 years on from buying it, its overpriced for what it is, funky and cute, great in towns / congested traffic areas. Nice to have such low raod tax though, and very low insurance.
