Location and availability presumably?0

I did mine through ILX group, but I studied remotely. There was only a half day training before sitting the foundation exam, and then the practitioner one.
I passed without issue and found the course material to be great, especially the interactive stuff.
Can be found here: http://www.ilxgroup.com/prince2-training.aspFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
It's depressing how many tenders now have Project Management as a standard demand. It has replaced ISO as the thing to have by lazy procurers and a lot of people are getting through this tender qualfication by quoting their "Prince 2 training" (not qualification!). In some cases that has amounted to a half days awareness session.0

And, as with all qualifications, having the certificate doesn't mean you can actually do the job - it just means that you know the method and can pass the P2 exam.
In my time I've met some Prince2 Practitioners who are rubbish project managers, and some superb project managers who don't have the qualifications.0 -
Few of my old work mates did the course with PROJstudy. They said that the training was up to the mark. This training guy had years of experience under his belt.My pals secured promotion in their jobs.Another advantage I see is an easy accessible venue at Canary Wharf .Anyone have any feedback about them?0

One of the reason going for projstudy was the venue. Canary Wharf is nearer to my place. Also I loved the promptness of the customer support team, which made the entire process of booking the course, getting access to course material, details about venues and trainers very smooth.0

Cant Prince2 be done without actually being taught?0

Here is the simple picture...Foundation can be cleared on your own if you study well...take an online course which costs less, just to be sure. Do remember however that an open exam Foundation costs 220 pounds and practitioner costs 410 pounds. ( as per APMG's site..you would need to search for APMG public exam fees on google) Now practitioner is a tough exam, trust me. So risking 410 pounds is a lot, especially when you can get the practitioner course for around 400 odd pounds from places like projstudy. The exam cost for registered providers is less so they can price it like that.
Moral: Foundation - self study/online course. Practitioner - go with low cost providers but who have high pass rates0 -

With my first role in project management not only did they believe that to be true but actively disliked Project Managers with Prince2 but instead wanted PMs with an MBA or ACCA
Their views were P2 worked in construction or IT but for pure business it was overly onerous and ridged and didnt work in an environment where the PM was supposed to be a subject mater expert as well as providing structure, governance, drive etc0 -
Something that you may not thought about it doing it abroad. Taking in a peacefl time studying and then having a weeks break after.
I have done my MCSE, Prince2, MCITP in Goa India and Thailand. It is worth looking into as if your planning a holiday the cost is no where near what it is here.0
