I was going to suggest New Orleans but the weather in November is more like 18-22C daytime and drops to 10C at nights, there are occassional heavy showers but they dont last long and you can alway nip into a bar to wait for it to stop :D
No beach to laze on but the city is just so laid back, the selection of foods available is  the nightlife is _party_ and there are enough tours and sights to see during the day to keep you occupied until nightime comes around again :T

I think some parts of the Caribbean are supposed to be ok at that time of year. But you need to check which islands.

    Whats your budget?
  • I think the budget is about 900 at the most all inclusive. That's per person. Thank you for all your replies. Really helpful :). I think I'm swaying towards Egypt at the moment. Just got to wait and see what the OH thinks.

  • I'd recommend Costa Adeje in Tenerife, a really nice resort, and seems to be constantly warm.

Luabay Costa Adeje is a really nice hotel.

We just booked Cyprus for November, I hated the Canaries last year so I wouldn't choose to go again. Morocco is another option....

  • We were thinking about Egypt in January because we got good weather there a couple of years ago at that time. We had been in Tenerife a few times at the same time and got let down by the weather.

However, this morning someone said about the unrest, and I looked it up and there are travel warnings for parts of Egypt that have been issued recently. When we went 2 years ago the trouble broke out in Cairo while we were there, internet was cut off etc. At that time there were still no travel restrictions in Sinai, but now there are (although not including Sharm etc).

Just thought I would mention. I haven't looked into it thoroughly but you might want to check that out if you are considering Egypt (or any of the North African/Middle Eastern countries.

We have also been in Dubai a few times. Have you considered that? Weather should be good.
  • I am considering Tenerife and Lanzarote, although did want to go further! Nearlyrich that was our plan! We were going to book Cyprus but we were a little worried about the weather and more importantly rain! Thanks for that Lesley, You may of just pushed me towards Mexico lol!!

  • Well guys I've just come back from Egypt (at 1.30am this morning to be exact!) and I loved every minute of it.

Did a nile cruise from Luxor and sailed to Aswan and did the whole tourist thing Valley of the Kings etc

Never saw a moment's trouble and the Egyptians couldn't do enough to make our stay a great one. Our Egyptian guide, who stayed with us throughout, was brillant and made Ancient Egypt come to life

Would I go again - without a doubt........even if some mornings it felt like I was walking into an oven !

  • OH is in the navy and point blank refuses to go on a cruise after being under the sea for three months.
