Anyone had/considering articial wedding flowers?

  • I had foam flowers for my wedding, my guests could not believe that they were not real it was only when they looked up close they reslised. The good thing with foam flowers is that they are really cheap and easy to manipulate when creating with them.
I tried to add a photo but wont show up sorry

Here are my flowers, (hope the pictures not to big) i did prefer my bridesmaids flowers :)
  • I had artificial and my mum actually did them for me. We had a mix of hobby craft dunelm mill and the like and she tied them up and wrapped in ribbon etc. We also popped a few gems through them as well to make them a bit different. Really pleased with them means you aren't stuck with what's in season and it felt great seeing them all ready beforehand.

It's honestly not that difficult to put together something yourself if you like that sort of thing. For me it was great that my mum did it as it kept her busy if you get what I mean hehe!!

Thanks for the pictures snowybutterfly. Both bouquets are stunning. Where did you get the foam flowers?

I was going to make paper flowers, but then saw The Perfect Bouquet in The Range, so I had to buy it.

I bought my bouquet, one for my big bridesmaid, one for my little bridesmaid (they were the same but different sizes) and buttonholes for the men (DH, Best Man, His Dad).

    Total cost £19.95.

My little bridesmaid has her flowers in her bedroom in front of a picture of her "being a princess". She took them to school on the Monday after the wedding for "show and tell".
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

  • I have foam flowers for my wedding next week, they look great!! Plus you can order them early and don't have to worry about them drooping or falling apart on the day.

Hi i got some from hobby craft, some from ebay and some from countrybaskets.co.uk. I made the bouquets myself and being foam i could take them apart and redo if i wasn't happy i just put elastic bands around them to keep them together and wrapped with a ribbon. I also made center pieces using 4 flowers which covered the table number base.

they look stunning - I was planning to grow my own sweet peas for our flowers - but might take the pressure off and look into silk ones - especially for the leaping bridesmaids - they might last longer x
