hi, right basicly my OH needed to pay our mobile phone bill but he couldnt pay by his card as its a cash card. he asked if he could transfere the cash to my account and pay it with my debit card i said yes. he rang up and tried to pay the bill gave them my details etc and at the end of it they said they cant take the payment as my account isnt registered with the mobile account. we were reasured the money couldnt come out.
monday 17th sep comes and guess what the moneys gone. i rang the bank and they said its been put into a holding bank and to ring the mobile company. so i did.
i spoke with a manager and he said that it will be in 18th sep and that he would call me and let me know whats going on.
well today is the 19th and still the money hasnt gone in. so i will be ringing them asap. but before i do is there any advice anyone can give me?
i dont really know where i stand although my bank did say if the money isnt back they will open a case.
can anyone help please???

How long was it before the 17th? What 'accoount'? Was it a debit card payment or a Direct Debit? If it is a DD you can ask the bank for an immediate refund under the DD Guarantee. Otherwise you can ask for a refund too, but this is more complicated and I would just leave the money in the mobile account towards the next month payment.i dont really know where i stand although my bank did say if the money isnt back they will open a case.
