Good morning, sunny with a definite nip in the air here. Today is a mixture of work and errands. The local market is on so will go get some cheap fruit and veg, also may go to the library as finished all my library books and stock of ones at home to read from charity shops is getting low.
Planning a weekend staying with a friend in early October and she has come up with some great outings.....think I will be exhausted if we do all she wants to do! Love her to bits and we haven't actually met up since May so am excited.

 There's a lot going on with you lot. I prescribe a large [STRIKE]glass[/STRIKE] bottle of wine each, to be drunk with your bums on chairs and feet up on coffee tables.
Redruby, this is the latest version of mine (though it looks exactly the same to me, just a different colour), it's really easy to use. I paid £90 for it.
I think Argos still do a basic/value machine for about £60Bulletproof0 -

Chilli for dinner tonight. Will bung it in the slow cooker in a bit. Dd has a hockey match tonight , I sometimes go and watch but won't make it today , sure they will do well.

Might do some virtual Christmas shopping today, anyone know of a good website to pick up a thick coat for dd for when she goes to Germany in December. Dont want to pay a fortune but obviously want her to stay warm.
Right off to have a bath.Have good days all:)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

Jackie-0 & Hillstep - Take more water with it next time please ((hugs))
RR I got mine from here it is the 1050, but it was £129 cheaper last year!!
While I know DD will not want a really complicated one, I think she will find one with an option of stitches and a button hole facility useful Janone and Pfaff (sp) are the queens, but the prices often matches that.
Well this will have to be a quickie, as we are off with the 'van, taking it into the dealers for a couple of warranty bits tomorrow, so will go to the North Lincolnshire coast and let Skye have another taste of sea and sand. Then over to Lincoln for a weekend at a rally at the dealers sister co. where they provide Saturday night entertainment and a meal, plus food available all day Saturday & Sunday for their version of a caravan show, so OS all round.
Bitsy - maybe this will be your excuse to get a 'van with H sleeping in it all week, and then you joining him at weekends!! (I'll put my hard hat on now!)
Right off to finish packing.
Take care all & (((hugs))) as needed.

Morning all
Stepdaughter has an interview with the West End theatre tomorrow so is arriving here at some point today to prepare. Stepson has decided to turn up too from university, so I'm doing roast pork for us all - fortunately I was given enough notice to get the joint out of the freezer last night. It's not often that we're all together now they're adults and live a long way away, so I'm looking forward to it.
In addition, our 'special needs' wandering cat has come home for winter so we're up to the full complement of 9; she's not met the most recent addition so that'll be fun. She's not normally home till October so I think we may be on for some cold weather soon. She's been yodelling non-stop since 11pm last night so neither of us got much sleep. She's the smallest and most thuggish of our beasts - like Blanche DuBois in DMs. It's going to be bodies everywhere tonight.
Work are going to call me today. I'm due back on 1st October and actually can't wait, but I have this feeling they're going to try and get me to stay off longer which I don't want. I know they only want to be completely sure I'm properly healed after the surgery. I miss the work and the people, and I definitely feel well enough, so I'll be arguing the toss on that oneWe'll probably compromise on staggered hours for the first week or so - I like an early start so in by say 8.00 and work till early/mid-afternoon. I know the first week back is going to be tough and I'll be exhausted but I'll soon adjust.
All in all, I don't think I'm going to achieve much today beyond dinner, but I'll crack on tomorrow. Hugs to everyone."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000 -
Morning all.
Yesterday was lovely. In between catering and hosting lunch for a dozen or so clergy and an evening meeting we stole an afternoon off and went to Horseshoe Bay. It was gorgeous. We sat on the sea wall in the sun, drank our flask of tea, ate our chunks of sponge cake and drank in the view and the quietness. Just the odd dog walker walking along the beach and waving or greeting us. Apart from that.......no-one....Bliss!
Back to reality and we are sitting on the edge of our seats today. DIL2B's waters broke last night and although the hospital sent her home ('to get some sleep!') she is going back today so we expect something exciting to happen soon. I am about to make a card to welcome the new arrival and Granny God, as they insist on calling her, has cleared her diary of everything she possibly can so that we are on hand if needed. I did ask DIL this morning if there was anything I could do and was told that I could have the baby, please.
I'm so excited that I can't think of anything OS, OTT, OHMS or OH! anything.
I'll be back later, probably still blathering like an idiot.

I would suggest looking on Ebay for a good down coat for her - they are lovely & cosy, yet are light to carry and can squish up to quite small if it's not really needed. I bought my Per Una one off Ebay0
