Have just looked and it stipulates that the points are for purchases though. Doh!

But I suppose you can also make a token purchase after the 0% period has finished?

The downside is 0% for only 6 months not 9 months - is 2000 miles worth 3 months lost interest? I suppose it depends on the balance.

You can always do what I did......

Wait for an offer on the Virgin card (I got the MP3 player - which I was well chuffed with). Take the 9 months @ 0% and at the end of the period, call them saying you want to change to the Flying Club card, which they treat like a new application.

They just transferred my limit over to the new card and so now I have another 6 months @ 0% (if I want it) and the bonus points too (which I will use to get some gift vouchers).

I know that I'm cheeky - but I learned everything I know from this site, so really, you all are to blame!

Edit: Cos my grammar is pants

I've just applied for their Virgin Flying Club card (if you're a member!).

Same T&Cs & 0% offer as the normal Virgin card.

You get 2000 Flying Club points when you first use your card and 1 pt per £1 on transactions. I only applied for the 2000 points (as I needed them to get enough points to cash in for £50 Virgin gift voucher) so I don't know if BTs earn points too.

How do I access this offer?

    Try here:

Please note that the 0% is only for 6 months (not 9)

It's the top offer that you want - the bottom one gives you more points, but there's an £80 annual fee
