Just looking for the next card to apply for at 0% and Virgin seems to be recommended by some on here as they are not charging for BTs. I know before Christmas they offered MP3 players but wondered if anyone had seen any current incentives from them for taking their card?

Many thanks

    How about...

1/ Fee-free SBT's to current accounts (and on to savings)

2/ £5 per month minimum payment (means £300 stooze profit on £10K over 9 months)

    It worked for me!

Think you also get Virgin points and some vouchers for Virgin wine
2p off is still 2p off!

I am sure a read somewhere that the T&C's of the Virgin card i have just applied for, said the minimum payment is 2.25% per month.

How do i pay £5 per month?

It's only £5pm. Everyone reads the T&C wrong. They give a list of applicable amounts but it is the lowest figure from the list that is used, not the highest.

    From the Virgin summary box...

    Minimum payments are

    The *LESSER* of:
    • 2.25% of your balance (min. £5) or
    • charges for Payment Protection Cover plus interest and fees, plus £5 or
    • your balance, if it's under £5.

If you're stoozing you do not need PPC, so you'd take the 2nd option and with no PPC, 0% interest, and no BT fees, your minimum payment will be £5. This, I believe, is the best stoozing opportunity around by far for maximising interest earned on a given BT.

Edit: Just to point out that when I initially applied, I only spotted the word "lesser" on the third reading of the T & C's!

  • Hi

I see on the table about the virgin card that they say:

    (1) For initial balance transfer; existing customer balance transfers do have a fee.

Does that mean you only get one free balance transfer when you sign up?
Or does it mean they charge for the first balance transfer as well?

I've just applied for their Virgin Flying Club card (if you're a member!).

Same T&Cs & 0% offer as the normal Virgin card.

You get 2000 Flying Club points when you first use your card and 1 pt per £1 on transactions. I only applied for the 2000 points (as I needed them to get enough points to cash in for £50 Virgin gift voucher) so I don't know if BTs earn points too.

Could now be talking - I am a member of the flying club as well (and all the other loyalty cards lol!).
