    I'd ask if they could lend me a courtesy car free until the December one turns up.
  • Thank you again for your responses. We'd considered asking for a courtesy car but again no idea whether that was really a reasonable thing to push for.

    However, in the end, it turns out the dealer solved the problem. They found an identical car elsewhere in the country and are arranging delivery next week. We're very happy indeed.

    I was going to say that it maybe your car.

    It sounds mad but it maybe worth getting an RAC inspection or similar.

    Anyone that can check for bodywork repairs.

    I'd tell them to wrap it in bubble wrap and tightly secure it to a flatbed and not let it off until it's outside your house...
