Thanks for popping by HtrebleB:D
The caffeine free bonanza is fine as I'm off work, however the proof if continuation will be when I return to the office where my colleagues make endless fresh cafeterias of the stuff and the smell is intoxicating.
I'm not much of a herbal tea drinker unfortunately - maybe the odd cup, although saying that until this week, I've never been much of a water drinker either, however I have my eye on a pair of jeans that I am DETERMINED to wear as a loose size 12, or a snug size 10, or even a squeeze my organs into a size 8 ...February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

Yay! Well done.
I haven't done any exercise in ages.
How long have you been awol? Do you know I'm on the point of paying off my mortgage? The deadline for the people supposed to be paying me compensation was yesterday.Although they haven't actually coughed up yet.
My solicitor says this is normal.
But I should get it soon.
OMG Lydia!!! That's amazing news (although sorry about the circumstances obvs). Do you have any plans on what to do with your 'freed up' income? Actually, it must be coming up to the end of term for you - and coinciding with the reappearance of LoisE?February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

I've broken up already actually, natty.Perk of teaching in an independent school. Although we do get 20% longer teaching days during term time, not to mention Saturdays.
I'm going to buy some stuff I need first - I fancy a new bed that doesn't jab springs into my thigh every time I walk past and a phone that not only takes answerphone messages but also lets me listen to them. I'd like a big soft fluffy rug to go on the floor in front of the gas-pretending-to-be-coal fire, and if I get really energetic I'd like to redecorate. I'm thinking of getting a gardener because I keep letting the garden get out of control. A year or two down the line I'd like to take down a wall and put up an RSJ to change the way you get into my house, but I can't face that just yet. There will be some treats for my kids too, and I'm going to give some to charity.
Then I'm going to try to save most of it. I don't want to get too used to the new level of net income, because when they switch me from WTC/CTC to UC I shan't get any, so I'd better save what I can before my income goes down.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

You know you're back on the MFW Forum when ......
You purchase 45 toilet rolls and 24 kitchen rolls from Gr@up@n (Tilly is clearly sending out subliminal messages!)
Lydia - I like your plans and agree that a good gardener will be money well spent and you cannot beat a large soft fluffy rug in front of the fire (I also have a 'gas pretending to be coal' fire). I hope all works out well in the UC for you.
I have done very little today unfortunately and need to visit a supermarket as cupboards are looking a bit bare. Don't know if I mentioned that my daughter has moved back home to her personal hotel, complete with maid service, so am finding that I am rapidly running out of things .....
Aiming once again for day 2 of C25K this evening, oh and day 5 of being caffeine free!February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Thanks for the encouragement natty. I was passing a carpet shop the other day and went in to look at rugs, and then realised that I didn't know the measurements I need. Must get tape measure out this evening.
