Starting my long process of getting reacquainted with this thread - and your first post reminded me that first up I NEED to build my security fund back up ... and my car fund... and... oh dear... !:o

What are you now? One of "them"? I don't think so. There are plenty of us on here who are working towards mortgage freedom in ways that don't actually involve OPing the mortgage just at this very moment. Froggy's lilypad fund, for example, or my family loans are no different from your CC.

Froggy!!!! Don't you trust her? Of course she's finished all of it. :p;) (Seriously, natty, I hope the work's not too dreadful and you're getting somewhere with it. I am at 8/13 of my to do list, temporarily thwarted because I can't find a small Phillips-head screwdriver.)

    Thank you Lois:T

Impressive going on the 'to do list' by the way. I think by day 3 of my holiday I was just getting round to running a comb through my hair:D

Hurdler, I beg of you not to read my diary...I cringe when I think of the absolute b@ll@cks I have written (well actually still write:o), and it's honestly a wonder that the Forum Police haven't moved it over from MFW to the Clinically Insane Board:whistle:

Lord in heaven then don't read mine - I sound like a cycling manic depressive!

(and when I say cycling, I don't mean a bike... I mean just up and down more often than a malfunctioning rolercoaster!)

Now, you know that's it just asking to be read:D

(I'd best do it quick tho' before HDK catches up with me about Uni assignments...)

But I've been on holiday for more than a week now, and my to do list is full of urgent things that I have got to do within the next day or so, or I won't be able to go away at the weekend, plus some essentials like "cook and eat supper".

Am at 9/17 now. Next item is to find out why the CC statement and the spreadsheet disagree by £1.01 - not that that's technically urgent, but it'll bug me until I sort it.
    Starting again 13/4/19
    Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99
    Total owed: £28,801.49

Catched ya Natty!!! Yes I know what you've been up to and its not uni work! TBH I haven't done any either but my assignment is submitted and just 1 more to go. A colleague at work has 12k left to write before end of Sept

Great rate though. I've done all mine now and to say what was paying before its virtually halved.

I'm really pleased with the rate, although if they turn round and say to me 'don't worry about paying the rest' I will naturally be even more delighted...

Sounds like you're on a great rate also (mate:D)

Yours was better, I got 2.54% on my big one started this month so arranged 3 months before and 2.64 on the other 2 but they were earlier in year. The drop was literally the following month but hey ho, I'm still pleased. My 2.54 is on a 3 year deal, whereas the others are 2 years. Same £100 cash back but hasn't arrived yet.

Payday today, although salary dropped in account was lower than anticipated. Mmmmm........

Only today, tomorrow, the next day (and if I count the weekend), the next day, and the next day left of my holiday :eek::eek:

    Normally I would buy myself something new to wear to work, but not this time dear reader because;
    1. I am still working on my lard-away and 2. any purchase(s) would only go on the CC

So gym this morning, followed by meeting of the friend this afternoon for lunch and chit chat over wine or perhaps a cocktail or two:D
My plan is to WALK into town (should take me 30 mins), and a BUS home... I haven't been on a bus for quite some time so should be fun. Not.

Enjoy your day, whatever you're up to.
