Well, it's my last week of being able to go to the lady gym in the mornings, before I return to work and have to drag myself there in the evenings....
I do feel better for it, however my stomach is still fat/bloated (hard to tell:cool:). I am going to try to give up bread for the next 2 weeks - commenced from yesterday - to see if this makes any difference. I LOVE bread so won't be easy.
I haven't been that bothered about having no alcohol, however this will be interrupted tomorrow, as I'm meeting my work friend for late lunch followed by catch up couple of drinks. I have a set budget of £20 which I think should be reasonable. Pay day tomorrow however due to my continuing financial messiness, it really makes no odds.
I have been remortgage researching, however as my current deal expires towards end of November, I will be unable to make application until end August (I think!). I am also concerned that I am carrying CC debt, when I have never before...will this affect my application?
Enjoy your day everyone XFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

I think it can affect the application but it depends on how much is owed if that makes sense, are you thinking of adding your visa into the mortgage?
We remortgaged in march ish although I think the correct term was additional borrowing ( we now have two mortgages) I know mse advises against turning unsecured debt into secured debt but it seems to have made a huge difference for us and I'm so glad we did it0 -
Hi El, thanks for replying to my query. No, I wouldn't be taking on any additional borrowing. The CC will be paid in full by February - I currently owe £2K, although this will be reduced again by the time the mortgage goes through. I was just concerned that this unsecured debt might affect the application (particularly if I move to a new provider). I am also thinking, that if I move to a new provider I will also have to pay additional valuation expenses, however if I stay with n@twest, the valuation won't be required as they already have this on record?
Whilst I may not be offered the best deal with N@twest, perhaps I would just be incurring additional and unnecessary expense by switching provider (originally I had thought perhaps FD, however this would incur the independent valuation).
I wish I was mortgage savvyFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Hey NP, I was on the phone to NationW yesterday, and found out what you are saying above. Apparently if you're not moving provider and borrowing the same, there are no valuation/solicitors fees and they don't do an affordability check or credit score etc. At least that's what the agent told me yesterday!
So yeah, it might be best to price up the rates available with NW and FD and what the SVR would be afterwards, and see how that would affect the savings when you include fees?0 -
£2k shouldnt make too much of a difference, but then you never know with the banks just now0
